Bottle Blue LLC

Release notes

What changed on this site, newest first.

  1. 1.5.0

    Current
    • The API licence terms describe the Enterprise plan as a plan. Bulk access, caching and mirroring, and providing API access to your own users are included in it and governed by these terms, with no separate paperwork. Volume or rate limits above the Enterprise allowance are arranged individually as a custom plan.
  2. 1.4.0

    • The API terms now say plainly that building a product on the Bottle API, charging for it, and serving your own paying subscribers are all included with any paid plan. Bulk access, caching rights and providing API access to your own users are covered by an Enterprise agreement, and there is a new section describing how to arrange one.
    • Ordinary short-lived caching inside your own application is now expressly permitted, so sensible engineering is no longer caught by a clause aimed at bulk mirroring.
    • The attribution requirement now points at the exact wording published in our API documentation, and says that credit asked for by an original source is additional to ours.
  3. 1.3.0

    • Apparatus Ready and Roost Camera now appear alongside our other products, on the home page and on the Products page, each with a link to the product itself.
  4. 1.2.1

    • The footer now says which addresses our email can come from, so a message claiming to be from us is easier to check. It is the same line every other Bottle Blue site carries.
  5. 1.2.0

    • The newsletter signup has moved out of the footer into its own section just above it, so it is easier to find and easier to read.
    • The site icon is sharper in the browser tab on Windows.
  6. 1.1.1

    • The message shown after signing up no longer asks you to confirm. Nothing needs confirming: a welcome email simply arrives.
  7. 1.1.0

    • You can now sign up for the Bottle Blue newsletter from the footer, and on some pages from a small prompt that appears once and stays dismissed if you close it. Occasional updates about what we are building. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
  8. 1.0.0

    • The company site is out of beta. It carries the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy that every Bottle Blue product links to, and a document people are asked to accept should not be labelled pre-release.
  9. 1.0.0-beta.5

    • A new Bottle Blue mark in the header and the footer. It is drawn rather than a picture, so it stays sharp at any size and on any screen.
    • A new site icon, the one that shows in a browser tab and on a phone home screen.
  10. 1.0.0-beta.4

    • The company timeline now reads as history rather than as a plan. The 2024 funding round is recorded as secured, and the years before it are described as the self-funded era they were.
  11. 1.0.0-beta.3

    • The site has been rebuilt. Same words, new design: a clearer home page, a proper products section, and the story behind the name given the space it deserves.
    • Every page now shares the header, footer and app switcher the products use, so moving between bottlebluellc.com and any product feels like one platform.
    • The Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy read better and are easier to navigate, with a working table of contents. Not a word of either has changed.
    • A new icon, so the tab is recognisable at a glance.
    • The story behind the name is now illustrated, by Natasha Kasatka.
    • Older addresses for the projects, services and about pages now take you straight to the part of the home page that holds that content, instead of an error page.
    • Text across the site now renders in the typeface it was designed in.
    • Pages load faster and read properly on a phone.
  12. 1.0.0-beta.2

    • You can now find Bottle Blue on LinkedIn, X, Instagram and Bluesky from the footer of the home page, and on LinkedIn, X and Instagram from the product and about pages.
    • The LinkedIn link on the projects page went nowhere. It works now.
    • Search engines are now told which social accounts belong to the company. They were previously given a list of our own web addresses instead, which told them nothing they did not already know.
  13. 1.0.0-beta.1

    • First versioned build. The site has been live for months; everything below was already shipped and is listed here so the history starts somewhere honest.
    • A homepage covering what the company builds, the products, and how to get in touch, with a page of its own for Aqua Botany, PocketQuant and the Bottle API.
    • Terms of Use and a Privacy Policy written to describe the business that actually exists, rather than the template they started as.
    • A brand layer over the purchased template: one button treatment, one card treatment, and a spacing rhythm that carries across the page.
    • Layout and image fixes measured on real phone widths, so the homepage no longer shifts as it loads and nothing runs off the side of the screen.
    • The footer shows which build you are on, and it links to this page.
